Napoléon III (1852–1871) rectangular folding table with X shaped footing. It is in original condition with turned faux bamboo legs in a rich black stain. The top is covered with mellow faded and worn red velvet over pine and decked in tassels and red trim. The edge of the table is decorated with floral metal studs.
Originally this table would have matched the window treatments in a room as well as the upholstery and rugs. The table is easy to move and designed to fold for convenient storage and movement throughout a room. It is rare now to find these tables with the covers intact and still usable.
